1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, so it can remember something between pages or visits. Displayte uses as few as it can: only the ones we need to sign you in and keep things secure. Our website analytics uses no cookies.
2. Cookies we need
In short: These keep you signed in, remember a choice you made, and protect the site. They can’t be switched off, and none of them track you.
| Cookie | What it’s for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| __Host-displayte_session | Keeps you signed in to the web app. Encrypted; only our servers can read it. | 30 days at most, or 14 days after you last used Displayte |
| __Host-displayte_txn_… | Completes a sign-in safely, so it can’t be hijacked on the way. | Until you finish signing in (1 hour at most) |
| __Host-displayte_invite | Remembers the invitation you opened while you sign in to accept it. | 24 hours |
| __Host-displayte_theme | Remembers light or dark, if you choose one instead of following your device. | 1 year |
3. Website analytics, without cookies
In short: On displayte.com, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies, so there’s nothing to agree to. Never in the web app.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and visits, and measures how fast pages load, by the page, the site you came from, your country, and your device type, browser and operating system. It stores nothing in your browser (no cookies and no local storage), and it doesn’t identify you or follow you to other websites. We don’t use it in the web app at app.displayte.com. Cloudflare does this for us as our service provider; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
4. Other companies’ cookies
- Signing in (Auth0). Our sign-in page is run by Auth0, which sets its own cookies there to keep your sign-in session (auth0, auth0_compat; up to 30 days) and to protect accounts from attacks by recognizing a device it has seen before (did, did_compat; 1 year). They’re needed to sign in.
- Security (Cloudflare). Cloudflare, which protects our sites, may set a cookie such as __cf_bm (30 minutes) to tell people from automated bots. It’s needed for security.
- Payments (Stripe). When you pay or manage billing, you do it on pages run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies there to process payments and prevent fraud.
5. Your choices
Our website analytics sets no cookies, so there’s nothing to switch on or off. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings; if you block the cookies we need, you won’t be able to sign in.
