Add slides from Canva, PowerPoint or Keynote
Save your slides as pictures, one per slide, then add them to your Library. Each slide becomes a picture a TV can show.

What you need
- Your slides, finished, in Canva, PowerPoint or Keynote.
- An owner, admin or editor account, and a plan for your church: files can’t be added before one is chosen.
Displayte takes pictures: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, GIF or TIFF. So the first step is to save each slide as a picture. It takes a minute, and the slides look exactly as you made them.
From Canva
- Open your design and choose Share, then Download.
- Under File type, choose PNG or JPG.
- Under Select pages, keep all the pages, then choose Download.
- Canva saves a ZIP file named after your design. Open it to get the pictures out: on a Mac, double-click it; on Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All. Displayte doesn’t take ZIP files.
From PowerPoint
- On a Mac: choose File, then Export. Set File Format to PNG or JPEG, choose Save Every Slide, then Export. You get a folder with one picture per slide.
- On Windows: choose File, then Save As. Set Save as type to PNG Portable Network Graphics Format, choose Save, then All Slides when PowerPoint asks.
From Keynote
Choose File, then Export To, then Images. Choose all the slides and an image format (PNG or JPEG), then save. You get one picture per slide.
Add them to your Library
- In Displayte, go to Library.
- Choose Add pictures and pick the pictures, all at once. Or drag them from your computer and drop them anywhere on the page.
- Each one shows how big it was and how big it is on the TV, like 2.4 MB → 480 KB. Displayte makes a version just right for the screen; the picture looks the same.
Then put them on a TV
Make a presentation from them and choose which TVs show it. See Put a presentation on a TV.
Good to know
- Slides made at 16:9, the shape of a TV, fill the screen. Other shapes show whole, with black at the sides.
- Moving parts in a slide, like animations and transitions, don’t come across: each slide is a still picture.
- File names come with the pictures. Rename one in the Library if a name doesn’t say what it is.

- Put a presentation on a TV
Make a presentation from your pictures, then choose which TVs show it. It’s on the screen within a minute.
- What the remote does on the TV
The Siri Remote picks a presentation, moves between pictures, and goes back. Nobody signs in on the TV.
- Add a TV
Pair an Apple TV with your church in about three minutes, with no keyboard on the TV.
