What the remote does on the TV
The Siri Remote picks a presentation, moves between pictures, and goes back. Nobody signs in on the TV.

When the TV turns on
A paired TV opens straight into its presentations. Nobody signs in, and nothing asks to continue.
- One presentation: it opens straight into it. If it’s set to play by itself, it’s already playing.
- Two or more: it shows a list of them, this week’s first. Swipe or press to move between them, and press the middle of the touch surface (or the centre button) to open one.
- None yet: it says to add files, or to ask your ministry leader. Choose what it shows on Displays.
Inside a presentation
You see its pictures, each with its name. Press one to show it full screen.
- Right goes to the next picture, left to the one before.
- Back (the Back button, or Menu on older remotes) returns to the pictures, then to the list.
If the presentation is set to Automatically advance, it plays through by itself, round and round: each picture for the time set on its presentation. Right and left still skip.
This TV
To see which church the TV belongs to and whether it’s connected, hold the centre button on a picture full screen, or choose This TV on the list. Back closes it.
Unpair this TV is there too, behind a question. Only use it to start over: the TV goes back to its pairing screen and needs a new code. See Add a TV.
Good to know
- What a TV shows is chosen on Displays, not on the TV. The remote only moves through what the TV was given.
- If the Wi‑Fi drops, the TV keeps showing what it has. Changes arrive when it’s back.
- Nothing on the TV ever shows an error to the room. If something needs attention, it says so on Displays.

More help
- Add slides from Canva, PowerPoint or Keynote
Save your slides as pictures, one per slide, then add them to your Library. Each slide becomes a picture a TV can show.
- Invite a volunteer
Invite someone to your church’s Displayte with their email and a role. Operator, the volunteer role, is chosen for you.
- Put a presentation on a TV
Make a presentation from your pictures, then choose which TVs show it. It’s on the screen within a minute.
- Add a TV
Pair an Apple TV with your church in about three minutes, with no keyboard on the TV.
